Thiemo Schunder successfully completed a mechatronics apprenticeship at the Q-vert GmbH in Alfeld. He studied mechatronics at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Hannover and wrote his bachelor thesis at Lenze Automation Gmbh in Groß Berkel on the “Development of function blocks for a winder application” for central automation environments. He then studied the master program sensor and automation technology at the University of Applied
Sciences and Arts of Hannover concluding with a master thesis in which a prototype of a toothbrush robot for physically disabled to allow higher degrees of personal control and freedom was developed.
He then joined the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Hannover and works on the research project IntLiIon (intelligent databus concepts for lithium ion batteries in electric and hybrid vehicles). The goal of the project is the development of a new communication system for battery management systems.
