Description

The control of quantum systems lies at the heart of quantum computation. The evolution of a closed quantum system is determined by the Hamiltonian, which corresponds to the total energy. The Lie algebra that is generated by terms in the system's Hamiltonian is the so-called dynamical Lie algebra (DLA). In this project, we are interested in what types of Lie algebras occur for particular generator sets.
