Björn Scheuermann studied Mathematics and Computer Science at the Leibniz University of Hannover. He received his Dipl.-Math. degree from the Leibniz University of Hannover in September of 2008. His diploma thesis "Komplexe regionenbasierte Segmentierungsverfahren mit der Level-Set-Methode in der medizinischen Bildverarbeitung" dealt with the segmentation in medical datasets using the level set method.
Since then he has been working as a research assistant toward a PhD degree at the 'Institut für Informationverarbeitung' at the Leibniz University of Hanover. His research interests are segmentation, tracking, motion capture and mobile computer vision.
