The bowel is a highly dynamic organ, coordinating the transport of food by coordinated peristaltic motion. Abnormal bowel motility plays an important role in a range of diseases and the objective assessment of gastrointestinal transit is thus important. Cine magnetic resonance imaging (Cine MRI) allows to study this motion, is however also influenced by breathing motion, requiring careful disentangling of these effects. Acquired 2D+t data from healthy volunteers together with breathing patterns is provided to develop methods to disentangle both effects. Please get in touch with any questions!
