BASE bezeichnet die Base-Adresse der Schnittstelle. Diese liegt normalerweise bei 378h für LPT1 und 278h für LPT2. Ab Adresse 0000:0408h findet man für jede installierte parallele Schnittstelle einen WORD-Wert, der die Base-Adresse angibt. An Adresse BASE+1 liegt das Status-Register, an Adresse BASE+2 das Steuerregister.
