Imen Talbi completed her Master's in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at Leibniz University of Hanover in 2025. Her master's thesis focused on "Comprehensive Analysis of Techniques for Automatic Speech Recognition in Children's Speech-Language Assessment." As of April 2025, she is pursuing her PhD at the Institute for Information Processing, joining Dr. Ehlert's group to specialize in children's speech processing.

Her current work focuses on:

  • Speaker diarization for multi-speaker child–adult & child-child interaction scenarios

  • Lexical analysis of language samples, combining speech and text processing

  • Automatic methods for supporting speech-language assessment, with an emphasis on robustness to spontaneous and disfluent child speech

Through her research, she aims to contribute to the development of reliable, clinically meaningful tools for analyzing children’s speech and language behavior.
